I have just got the word that they are looking to put in a proposal to the Parks for a course in Monroe and there is a meeting tomorrow night Wednesday 7/19/06 at 7:00. If you get there a little early, that is good. I can't go - my wedding anniversary. Ken Donothan, a Monroe resident will be there along with Gary Allen, Park Board representative. They are definitely looking for some assistance in design and any help in pitching it to the Board. Word is that they are 90% sure to go ahead with it. They have contacted Turtle Creek about their course and have seen the play that it gets and are definitely interested. Any and all are encouraged to go out and help get another course in the ground! Directions to the meeting: North 75 to Monroe exit, left off the exit, left on Main St., go to top of hill, City building is on the right, meeting is in Council Chambers.

We did an introduction of disc golf to the Monroe park board tonight and it was well received. They want us to proceed and produce a planned layout. Thanks to Ken Donathon, Russ Toelke, Patrick Barras, Dan & Alex Hollingshead, Mike Kemner, Chris Bowers, and Steve Flint for coming out in support. There were ~2 other that I do not have names for...?
The meeting did run later than planned as the park board had a hot topic of a haunted trail scaring the neighbors. :vampire

Geez, to hear the one park board dude talk, they want to put disc golf in every green space in the city.
That man is my idol!

Ah, but if all park boards were as enthusiastic as Monroe. Colerain and Mason were close.

I think you would have a better turnout if this was not scheduled at the exact time of kick off for the Bengals game.
It ain't often a new course goes in, and you get to give input. If the football game's that important to you, you'll never have a gripe about the course layout. We tried to schedule this around disc golf tournaments, not football.
Are you a golfer or a football fan? Sometimes you gotta choose.

I gotta thank all who came out Saturday to help tear thru some SERIOUS HONEYSUCKLE. Even Brad Anderson came up from KY to join in on all the fun. My biggest fear is I think Mike K is enjoying the destruction of nature a little too much. He has been out there 3 out of the last 4 days. The man is a machine. I think he may run off to VEGAS and marry his chainsaw.

Depends if you are trying to attach one or refer to one elsewhere on the Internet. For internet, try <img src="images\ghost.gif">

I may sound like a dummy, but where is "attach a file"?

Ken, you can probably put it in a photobucket account, and wrap the "img" tags around the http address.

At one time we had the same system as the PDGA. Our host at that time changed their setup such that writing files using that system was impossible. The system in place used the technology that was allowed.
That's funny considering other disc golf websites have asked permission to use some of our presentation techniques. An IT pro? Wow. Oh wait that's me. Hee hee hee. I have no problem with the website as it is and am proud of it's reliability and ease of use.
Keith may disagree with the above but would any of us really be surprised anymore? :banghead2

It was offline briefly this morning. The HTML tag interface for experienced users is ****ty at best, and impossible for novices (not AM2's). Great that we were once using the same software that the PDGA was using - at one time I was using the same toilet as Barry Larkin ( though thankfully, not at the SAME time). It matters not what was once, but what we have now. I'm happy for you that you are an IT pro... Can you fix the website then please?

Keith, you are absolutely insufferable. Maybe some of your complaints are warranted, maybe they're not. It doesn't matter anymore. All you add now to this club and website is divisiveness. If you are just going to cry and moan, go build your own website, go start you own club, go be King of your own little hill. That's seems to be all you really want. In all the years I've known Brian, I've never known him to say a disparaging word about anyone other than himself. For him to think this of Keith speaks volumes to me.
