Have we in the past ever tried getting the city beat or even the cicinnati enquirer to post the ccs scheduale in thier respective local sporting event pages. I am not sure that they are willing but this might generate added intrest. Just a thought. Also I might go ahead and post the scheduale on the craigs- list cicinnati community bulliten board, under activities. I don't know that this will draw anyone out or not but it couldn't hurt. Also I had a thought about maybe posting these ccs flyers at high schools. This must be done with permission, but at the high school I went to ( lakota west ) individuales could hang up flyers such as this on hallway bulliten boards located in the stair wells. I know that if I knew then that there was a disc club in my high school days, I would have been playing sooner. Lastly I also think that we could probably persuade the ameristops and other gas stations (near the courses) that sell discs to hang up the scheduale near the racks of discs. This could also include play it again sports who already pass out coarse maps. thanks for the great ideas. since they have yet to be done, if you want to see if you can put them in action i suggest you go for it. a link to this website -- www.CincinnatiDiscGolf.com -- would be a good thing to include on the schedule.

Shelter #2 for Big Boone Woods Course Challenge April 21 has been reserved. They are working on new signage and possibly re-galvanizing the baskets. Signage should be in by the tourney, even though we play Big Boone. Re-galvanizing? - not sure. If you have a basket and can bring it the day of tournament, let us know. We need 5. Thanks

Deal!!! I am coming up with a visually appealing scheduale for the shirt idea, so we can use that design. I'll have it together in a digital, and paper format by the 4/9 meeting. As for the craigslist idea, I'll do it today. As for the city beat and Enquirer I will call them tomorrow.

Thanks Nick... "Many" CCS divisions now have some sort of added sponsorship cash/prizes. Could you post a consolidated list of CCS "added stuff" and respective divisions. Perhaps the pro women could get some of the added $ which the grill raffle is providing (congrats, and thanks too, on passing the 50% mark on ticket sales).

Bob, that's a GREAT suggestion about added cash to open women! :bounce I can't believe it wasn't brought up sooner! - no really, it's no big deal, but maybe something to consider in the future if we do this added cash again.

Liz, I appreciate the great efforts being made by Nick, Dan-O, and others, to raise cash and prizes for CCS tourneys (where was this when I was winning many of the Open division CCS tourneys in the early 90's - I could have been retired by now?... -maybe not!). That being first said, I think "all" divisions, Pro Women too, should be included even if some of the added stuff needs to be re-distributed/subtracted from other divisions.
2 cents + inflation

Ok, Big Boone is this Saturday! To make things easier on Dan, let's get some volunteers to bring baskets. We need 5 to make Boone big. I've got temp tee signs & Marlow has temp tee markers. This is your last chance to buy grill raffle tickets as well. Anyone who has been selling them, don't forget to bring the money & stubs Saturday. Where's the after party?

Lunch will be available for purchase at Monroe on Saturday, please help by buying your lunch at the park rather than going somewhere else, the $ raised will go towards free lunches on Sunday, so if you are planning on playing both days, consider that. Right now the menu will consist of burgers with all the fixins', chips, a cookie and a drink. All for $6, not a bad deal, any other suggestions?

Well, the course is as ready as can be. Ken had his chainsaw working overtime tonight. Dan was out there, Mike had been there & the Middletown guys cut a lefty route on #3. Thanks to all who had any part in getting this course up & running. See you in the morning!

To all who made the Monroe course possible - great job! I was more than pleasantly surprised at the quality of the course. From discussion board talk and the photos I expected a much less elevation change and less mature woods. I think it's a great course and addition to the variety of other courses in the Cincy Area. It's also great to see a Parks Department take a serious stake in a course - the bobcat work, concrete work, excellent signage, drainage and grading work, and general investment is obvious and great ly appreciated.
If the course is to be considered for the Worlds it will need to be converted to 18, which may not be too hard to do, plus it could relieve some of the redundant holes (several 'haven't I already played this hole' holes) and help throw the lefties a bone or two.
Thanks TDs, course designers and workers. Monroe has a gem. Also - the lunch was nicely done.

Thanks, Kaplan. That was way fun. Next CCS is 8/4/07 @ Harbin. 2 rounds of the 18 hole pig layout.
It will probably be next week before the results are up for Burnet & Monroe. Paul is on vacation this week. The burnet cards spent a good amount of time in Blakely's hands before I got them. Was busy. Not able to get them to Paul in a short amount of time before he left. Sorry, guess we suck at organization????

No problem Nick. I had a great time just running the tournament and not playing. Witnessed Pettigrew's ace on #14 and I am still having trouble believing it! Good thing I got a picture of the scorecard with the 1 on it, or, I still don't think I would believe it. :-) Thanks to Debbie Donathan for helping out all day and handling the grill.
