If you go to the main page, then click on "Course Challenge Series, Scores & Information" you'll find scores from the first ever tournament there.

But...but...I'm an 808....and all those 45 and 60 footers were giveme's anyway and I was kinda mad you wouldn't let me pickup and made me puttout :) Also, if it weren't for JP's drives I'd never have been in a position to make those birdie putts.

I hope more of you come out to Monroe on Wednesday nights....Ken is doing a great job and it is really turned into a fun event.

I had just found out about this course late last week and talked a friend into checking it out this past weekend... I thought it was a great course, it was very challenging at times but always fun. I am looking forward to playing there a lot more!

I was so pumped after playing, I decided to go play Turtlecreek afterwards (also for the first time) and that made for a great day of disc golfing... though my shoulder wasn't so happy with me... =)

I played the course on Saturday and I must say that I was surprised how much trash was strewn about the course. Hole #1 had what looked like a river of trash washing towards the basket. One of the reasons I mention it is that while looking for our discs, there were several times I was fooled by large chunks of debris.

But, all in all, it is a sweet course and I will be back again

Did you pick up any of the trash and deposit it in the trash cans?

Fred,

I understand the point you are trying to make. Please understand that I was not complaining about it, just pointing it out.
It would have taken me 10 hours and 20 garbarge bags to clean this up. I was not prepared for that, so no, I did not clean it up. If someone wants to organize a clean-up effort, I will join in the effort.

What did you think when you saw the course the last time you were there?

You'd be surprised how much trash has been taken out of there. That area of the park used to be a dumping ground for the people who live near there. Yes, there is still some trash out there, but it's getting better. You guys probably never saw the dishwasher on 14. People are still pulling some crazy stuff out of there. It's going to take some time to get it all clean.

Weather permitting I will be there to clean up between 6-9.... Come if you can, but I would understand if you cant make it with such short notice. I will bring trash bags and a very large rolling trash can. I have been meaning to get over there and clean up but its just too tempting to play instead.

Thanks for the spark I needed to get my butt over there and just get it done.

Unfortunately, I haven't been there yet. My point is that if we(everyone reading this) pick up one piece of trash everytime we play that will go a long way in helping to keep the courses clean. Two pieces if you have room in the bag helps twice as much. I do it everywhere I go, you should try it. It's good for the soul.

While you are at it. At this course their are large sticks/branches in fairways that can be picked up and hucked into the woods.
Thanks Fred!!!!! This is why you are HALL of FAME material.
As STEADY ED said "leave it better than you found it"

I forgot to mention how nice the new benches looked. That is really a great course and everyone involved should be proud of their efforts.

Just a heads up to those that work to take care of this park... The basket on hole 16 was basically out of the ground when i played yesterday. My group put it back in, however due to its wooded location and proximity to that park I would get it secured quickly before someone walks it out to that neighborhood.

Also the path to 17 has several trees down. We moved a bunch but one was rather large.

Last night at doubles the #16 basket was no where to be seen.  I really hope it was not stolen but maybe the park department removed it until they could secure it but I doubt that is the case. cry

I played this course for the first time this week. I must say, I really enjoy it. There was one basket missing around #16 or #17, but other than that the course felt very unique. It was a little...different... teeing off on some of the holes being so close to people's backyards, though :) Still, I can see it becoming one of my favorite courses in the area very quickly.
