We had a good showing tonight. 23 players with 7 in open. Jack F, Zac N, and a couple other Dayton boys showed up. Matt Blakely set a new course record with -8 and a near ace despite the wind and rain.

New Course Record set this week. BLakely -11 !
It was probably the best round of golf I have played this year.

Far from it Dave. Come on you have to be better than me right. Look your rating is higher than mine.

Just messing with you! -11 is sweet at Turtlecreek. Almost as good as a -12 at Harbin(Pig Layout) Looking forward to the Pig, but a little disapointed with the Open turn out.

Turtlecreek Thursdays are great. Those who miss it are missing a well ran weekly event at a great course

I'm going to start it up again this week. $5 entry, $1 ace fund. Disc prizes for Am, cash for Pro. Get some practice for the next course challenge on 6/28/08. See you there.

The ace fund roll over from last year is at least $100 already.

Even with the short notice, we had a good turnout of 16 players. Thanks for coming everyone. See you next week.

Nice job, Cyrus. 55 is a good score considering the wind and the heat we had.

No one has hit an ace yet this year at the Turtlecreek ace fund. It's up to $200. Come on out!

Thanks, Chief and thanks to everyone else who contributed to the ace fund, and to Dan for running the event. I should mention that we started on hole 1, and Jeff's drive spat out of the chains, then I got the ace on hole 2. Crazy!

See you all next week

Well that's convenient.  I don't show up to run the ace fund, and an ace gets hit.  laugh

Nice job Cyrus.  How many ace funds have you won this year now?

Thanks bro.  That makes 4.  That one at Monroe doubles, two were at Harbin Doubles, and then the big momma on Thursday.  Im determined to get Airy in the next few weeks and maybe one at Banklick this winter.  That would be righteous.  rock

5:30 PM from now on. I'll end it when it gets too dark, cold, or people stop coming.

This Thursday (10/9/08) there will be no advanced field, just open or ace fund. I'll only be around to do signups, then I have to jet. But I will bring my plastic if anyone wants to use up some saved credit or buy discs. 5:30 PM tee off again.

Ace fund at: $59 frown

Thursday ace fund at Turtlecreek is over for the year. Sorry for the late notice to those that didn't hear the announcement last week.

now that the weather is getting nicer, thursday ace fund should be startin up again soon. Dan usually runs it and he is busy the next few weeks, although I dont mind getting it together before that just to get the ball rolling sooner. If your down to come out and play, leave a post here so i know its worth gettng it together next week.

Does the weekly Turtlecreek Singles event still start at 5:30? Might be impossible for me to make it from downtown Cincy :-(
