Very nice article! The picture, on the other hand, isn't one of Fred's best...

I look like Dracula's bro. Hole #11 at Boone. A slight misquote, I told him I could be a better player if I devoted more time to my game instead of course work. I'm pretty sure I never mentioned being good enough to make the Hall with my game alone.

So I just sent an email referencing this article to the Reds suggesting that they recognize Fred Salaz as a recent inductee to the Disc Golf Hall of Fame and all around good man of sportsmanship by allowing him to throw out a first pitch at a game and perhaps do a cross promotion about the sport of disc golf, by letting Fred have chance at flinging a few towards the deep fences from the plate. Perhaps a few more of you would like to join this bandwagon. It would be fun to watch and I'm sure a honor to Fred.

Our prime throwing years are short-lived and flashy for a few seasons (even Climo's "game" will decline too). However, those individuals who really care about the game of disc golf, well beyond themselves or their actual throwing, who maintain and build innovative, beautiful courses, who spend time teaching, encouraging, and mentoring new players, will leave a legacy which will remain for players of the game for many years to come.
Federico, you are one of those individuals. Previous Hall members could recognize your credentials all the way across the country. Congrats Freddy... Now get back to work!!! :smile
