Boone Woods is closed as of 19 Sept. The sign didn't say why. Hope it is for the rehab.

The sign means that Boone Woods is closed just for that one day. They had some sort of carnival. I played on Thursday and it was fine.

I talked to David Whitehouse today and he said they had a cross country meet and closed the course for the day. He wants to redesign the course starting this week. We are meeting on Thursday to see what land we can use. I'm thinking it is going to be totally different with rec tees and champion tees and a couple of sleeves for each hole. If it turns out good enough maybe we could use it for the worlds, if it happens.
I will be meeting with him to start working on the course in Verona as well. I should have something to report at the meeting next week.

Well as you can probably tell the trees are not really an obstical anymore since they cut all the branches off the trees.

Well, it will make it easier to pick up the trash under the trees. Not to worry, we'll make good use of those trees and David Whitehouse mentioned that someone is donating over 40 trees to the park. I'm sure we can get the majority of them if we asked.

Please keep us informed of the changes and when it might be completed. I enjoyed playing that course last year. First timer in rain and second time in horid heat. But had fun.

Played Boone today before work...the baskets still need much work and the signs are still destroyed. I played a whole round today and didn't hit a single tree, branch or even a leaf. Not even on #7, #8, nor #9. The cutting on #2, #4, #10, and #16 was silly. Wait..I forgot about #11 no hazard anymore.
