In some ways driving when the weather is consistently sub-freezing seems easier. You are driving on snow - not ice.

So that's why you been shooting like crap....too many clothes...
I agree though...can't wait to take off the heavy coats...change out of the boots...and play in some shorts, tshirt and some light weight shoes. This is the last hurrah for mother nature on the winter front. In a few weeks...we'll all be sunning our pasty white skin in the sun and playing disc golf...
OH NO...just got a bad mental picture of the white dolphin running thru Idlewild...OH MY EYES!

Looks like yesterday's rain and possibly showers today will ensure that Sunday's Mt. Airy CC will be a slopfest. If a few people will bring their baskets, we may be able to avoid playing in some of the worst mudholes. I would like to put in alternate baskets on #1, #9, and #18's baskets. I'll try to find some decent ground for #5 and #6 tees. Any volunteers who can bring baskets?
See everyone tomorrow a.m. Please have your membership stuff ready to speed up registration.

Novices are $5, Advanced and Masters are $10, and Open is $20. Non-members add $2. Late fees - after 9:30 a.m. $5 extra.

You bet it took place - there was a full field of 72 players. I don't think my assessment of course damage would be very helpful, but it looked to me as if the course was in pretty decent shape and the mud factor was nowhere near as bad as I had imagined.

After playing March Madness in Columbus, Mt. Airy was great. My feet actually got to see what life is like without waterproof socks. The CCS was great, good job to all!

I want to thank those that are willing to help, Tyson, JP Mayer, and Lee. Just show up a little early (Around 8:00 AM is normally a good time) to help take Registration and put the names on the boardcards and things. Thanks to Liz for also helping out again.

Matt, I got an email from Alan Clore about the shelter by hole #3. Not sure who's responsibility it is to reserve shelters for course challenges so I went ahead and rented it for the club. It is only $25.00, invoice will be mailed to the treasurer. If you want to cancel it and take a chance that someone else will rent it then call 859-334-2117. I didn't ask them to donate the shelter because they are donating 3 shelter rentals to the tournaments that I am running, not sure about the Bluegrass Open weekend.

I'm pretty sure I won't be there. Tyson, Lee, JP Mayer all said they would help in the morning registration. Chad has the board cards, score cards, and gift certificates. Pete has the board, and Marlow has the book. Good luck and have fun everyone.

Thanks to those that are running Idlewild, I appreciate it. I was signed up for the original date, but when date changed I've got conflict with family schedule. Enjoy your rounds.
