I have arranged to pick it up and bring it with me to Jolly on Saturday. There were plenty of board cards (a few different colors) and scorecards in the box.

Okay - everybody - the weather is supposed to be beautiful on Saturday - c'mon out to AJ - yeah, it's a bit of a drive - but for once a year - it can be done! Sign up by 9:30 - we're teeing off at 10:00!!!!

Ok, I admit I was an AJ Jolly hater. But I had fun today, and the course was better than I remembered it.
Nice ace Jeff!
Scores are posted.

Blind Aces are cool! A.J. is still easy for me to hate on but, that was a gorgeous day of disc golf. As Dave Cox said though A.J. would make a great USDGC-like course with added artificial O.B. alternate tees and baskets. With a bunch of wind AJ becomes decent enough. Thank you, Liz, Jeff, Dan, Dave, et all.

It truly was just a gorgeous day for disc golf. It is really a nice course for this time of year. Thanks to all who came out. And thanks to Liz for doing most, if not all, the work for me. And thanks to anyone who added up scores or helped in any way. Remember, the next CC is at Banklick November 1. Afterwards we head to a local restaurant/bar and have the awards. We will update you on that when we find out.

Hey Dan, even with daylight savings time coming up, getting the Banklick CCS done may be tough. Can we push the start time ahead to tee at 9 A.M.?

that could be a possibility, but how many people would show up at 9:15 or so - thinking tee off is at 10:00 am? On a side note, we have discussed moving the tee-off time of CC's next year to 9:00 or 9:30.

Yeah, I think it's kind of late to make that change. We usually don't play the 24 hole course. We play 18 or 20. First round we usually play the #5 and 6 and skip 16 and 17. Second round we either play the original 18 or original 18 and the two bowl holes. We could try to get started just a few minutes early and take a shorter lunch break.
We will be meeting at Willie's in Independence for the 2008 CCS Awards.

Last year, we played 24 the first round and 18 the second. Seemed like it went pretty smooth.

Awesome day of disc golf. We had 71 participants who played 24 holes the first round, 18 the second. I don't remember all the winners, but Matt Blakely won Open, Jeff Eades Pro Masters, Liz Shooner Pro Women, Dan Bayless Pro Grandmasters, Don Lohman Advanced Grandmasters, Tom Cox Novice, - wow, that was pretty good for me. Someone else will have to fill in the rest of the Amateur divisons. I'm sure the complete results will be up shortly. Again, the weather was just great and Banklick is just the most beautiful course around here - sorry Idlewild and Mt. Airy fans - that's my opinion. Thanks to everybody who came out and to all those who helped make it a success. The series awards were given out at Willie's in Independence - nice enough still to sit on the patio. I won't try to give the series results, although I know there was a tie for the Advanced and a playoff with Dan Hollingshead winning the playoff over Cyrus Fuhrman in front of a huge gallery. No more course challenges for the year but Wednesday Doubles goes on throughout the winter at Banklick. It is Glow Doubles now. Also, New Years Day at Winton Woods tournament. Then we'll have the Icebowls January 10, 24 and February 7.

Dan, there were actually 71 participants with 3 DNF's. I can't remember their names right now but all were in the Novice division. Dave probably has the signup sheets. I will try and get the pics from Willies done here later today or in the next few days.

Alex, Maybe you're a ghost and your pic just didn't appear. - No, that's an oops on my part. I completely forgot we took pictures. I'll check my camera today and see. Sorry about that.

Ok, here's a link to the pics from the '08 CCS Awards at Willies; I hope you can get to them. I don't know how to post them in the gallery section or on the CCS page. Sorry I was so late in getting these out.
