Wow, that course is due for some very serious grooming. Hole #11 is just plain ridiculous. I can understand making a course hard and challenging, but that is borderline unplayable.

Myself and Pat played it and I carded -9 after first round of 12 Just very tight and technical. This is why we like to play in the woods. Most holes there have 2 ways if not more to reach the basket.
Pat started snappin photos the second time round and my shots weren't as good and I beileve I had a -5 or -4 that time. I even took a nice kick and found some OB water. All in all great short 12 and hopefull Holly and the others can even the course out with a longer 12 that they were scouting that day.
Great start on a new course imo.

How long are most of those holes? I'd take a guess but my distance-judging isn't perfect.
Looks roller-friendly

My uneducated guess would be all of them are under 220'.... but most are probably under 180'..... I hear the back 12 will be much longer......there is a lot of property still aval.

The longest hole is about 210' and the rest average around 165'
You're right the next twelve will be longer and closer to a standard golf course. This first twelve is definitely a community course, but will eventualy allow you to have a choice as to what you will play.
Gwermantown is a great city with a lot of motivation

Update on this course, they have expanded the Twincreek course to 27 holes. Ken Donathon and I visited the course this past weekend and the new black course is definately a fun course. They have the original (easy) "Red" course and the new more challenging "Black" course. Visit www.daytondiscgolf.org to read more about it but I highly recommend visiting this course. They have done an excellent job of marking the course with signage and a neat method of putting arrows to the next tee under the basket. It is still a work in progress as they plan to move hole one to the basketball court area so that you park closer to the middle of the course if weather hits. The numbering on the baskets is sometimes confusing (like hole 26 shooting at old 15's basket) but it wasn't to hard to figure out. Maps are coming but we easily found every teepad and basket. Very fun course but it is wooded so bring your "A" game. =) btw, Ken let me win to build my confidence. =)

Let me clarify my above post, there is only one golf course, they have two layouts you can play. (not a new additional course) though they added several new holes for the Black course layout.
