I wanted to know if I'm the only one.
At the awards ceremony at Gold Star last night...I had the Chicken Burrito with sourcream and cheese topper. It was the first thing I'd eaten since breakfast...I had the pepsi with the meal. After arriving at my house I developed some serious abdominal pains. I felt as though I had razor blades in my stomach and felt constipated. Without getting gross...after removing my meal from both ends...and taking some pain pills for my stomach pains..and some new pains in my lower back..I was able to go to sleep around 4am.
I don't think I played badly enough for my lack of game to cause this reaction....I do hope I was the only one..but if not..I wanted to post this so if any of you had a bad reaction...you'll know you weren't alone. I've written an email to Gold Star Headquarters... I was nice and polite and didn't threaten anything...just notified them of the time, location, meal and what my symptons were.
Again, I hope I was the only one.

Dan, I had a great time. Adding ice to my game was a fun challenge.. this is my first year playing year 'round. The only suggestion that I would add is for individual salt bags to be handed out to each group so that the concrete tee pad's at Idlewild could get a once over.
Thanks.

Great fun, even when Lee walked up to me after the first round and said, "You, shot that bad?" Yes, Lee, yes I did. Thanks again, Dan and all the fine folks I say yesterday.

Sorry Finny...didn't mean anything mean spirited about that. Maybe that's why the Kharma Gods gave me food poisoning...lol

I ate there during lunch and felt fine afterwards. Sounds like it could be the sourcream. If that stuff gets too warm or is already "off," then it would definitely give you the "green apple splatters."

I had a GREAT time! It was my first tournament and I loved it. Thanks to those in my groups who were so gracious and willing to play with a novice. Thanks for the advice as well. Hats off to the idea of putting the pro with the novice to help grow the sport. One guy gave me one bit of advice and I saw results in a few holes. Rough results but still.
Thanks to those who put time into making it happen. Dan and the others. Sorry I only know Dan, but know a lot of you made it possible. Thanks to Liz who helped me get to me first tee. I would have been wondering around helpless without her.
Unoffical for the Day: 102 at Idlewild & 61 at Boone. I'll take it.
Look forward to looking at the schedule and seeing what the next one I can make will be.

I had a 107 at Idlewild, that will probably be hard to top!
Shot a 12 on hole 5... the ski slope hole. We were one of the first groups up it (started on number 2) so the fairway was still pretty slick... I had a number of throws that slid down and behind where I was throwing from. That was after driving two in to the creek and taking mulligans. I wondered if there was a mercy rule that limited the number of strokes on one hole. But hey, that's what made the Ice Bowl so fun.
I had a lot of fun and didn't break any major bones, that's all that matters.
This was only my second tourney, only been playing seriously since January, thanks for the wonderful tournament and the great hospitality. You all were awesome to a bunch of newbies (Jokerman and me). Look forward to meeting you all again.
Oh, and the idea of the individual salt bags was awesome, that would have worked well.

I asked Dan to specifically NOT use salt on the tee pads because it's not worth it to ruin a tee pad for life for a one day event.

No salt was used to my knowledge Fred. So don't worry, no lives were ruined. Well, actually a couple of those scores out there may really have hurt a few people but the teepads lives are still intact.

I've got the results from the Icebowl Krazy Series and a couple of pictures but I don't know how to put them on here. I just have them on my computer at the store. If someone sees this, let me know what I need to do to get them up here.

Dan, you should have the ability to attach files to a post. It's a two step process. After you submit the message post, you'll have the option to attach a file to it. Look for a button that says "ATTACH" in the upper right hand corner of your post next to the "EDIT" button.

Hmm, never would have thought of that. That proves the Law of Unintended Consequences!
How about a bag of gravel?

I brought out some used kitty litter for traction, but Kuhns ate it all before the first round.
