Just thought that I would "officially" start this thread.... Here is some info from the pdga board on it... This is VERY IMPORTANT INFO!!! Each divsion will be capped at 360. There will be a max 360 Adv. and 360 Int/Rec with Int/Rec being counted as one. Once those fill that is that. If you sign up Int/Rec and find out that it hit the 360 mark then you either have to drop out or pay the extra money and play Advanced. There will also be NO pool shuffle except for Top 2 pools (A and B) so this will make it easier for everyone who needs rides and wants to play with buddies. For those of you who may need to hit the road after the tourney, you will have to wait until after the Adv. final 9 before any results are posted, and we will be going down the list with winners first and so forth. Course Update!!! Phil Moore MAY NOT be used if bad weather floods the course, and Chalybeate may be put into the shuffle instead. This may also cause the courses for each divison to change. Activities throughout the weekend will be doubles events on Friday and Discraft will be hosting a driving contest, INNOVA a putting contest. If I can remember more info I'll be sure to keep everyone updated!!!! http://www.pdga.com/msgboard/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=769143&page=1&fpart=24&vc=1

A new CCS cap at 720 should be considered as well.

John, you are right. Anything over 720 "IS" just too many!

I'll be playing Rec...and I think Jrs will be playing the same courses as me. I was told I would be playing the following courses:
Hobson Grove Lovers Lane Preston Miller Basil Griffin
I've never played or seen any of these courses. I may take a trip down in a week or so and hit them up.

wow, one of the top distance contest finishers from BG last year playing in AM2. any chances of quitting to preserve the rating if things aren't going too well for you?

Hey now... you are misquoting my resume! I won the distance contest last year at BG!
I don't think too many DNF's are in my future this year. Last year I was playing with a bum shoulder/elbow after May. Everytime I thought it was good and healed, I tried to play and boom... there it went again.
But, it's feeling good so far this year. Just a little FYI - even if you DNF a tourney, you still get round ratings for every completed round.

what is wrong with you? you're rated in the 920s or 30s and you're playing intermediate. Karma, its everywhere you're going to be. I'm sure they would let you move up to advanced. I'm playing rec this year. I doubt I can get away with the junor 16 and under division two years in a row.

Yeah, I know.
But I won it with an air shot... just improved on it with a roller.
It wasn't really even close either...

I just signed up for advanced.
Keith, you do realize that anything short of victory for you will justify at least three months of heckling.

And if he does win, then clearly he was bagging, so we have to heckle him either way.

Yeah.... I realized that right after I signed up. I'm just signing up where the PDGA places me... I don't like it either, but my rating has pretty much been stagnant for quite a while, and the PDGA changed the rules in the middle of the game.
Are we putting ratings caps on CCS divisions this year?
