No but we are capping the number of big dumb animals per division.
Did I say that out loud?

So does that mean I have to play AM1, or Am2... me and Brad in the same division likely busts the cap, right?
Will the club make me a marble statue if I win ADV 3 years in a row?
Is Dan H coming back to ADV this year?

in case anyone cares, i broke down the advanced division by state and rating. 255 are in advanced. please keep in mind that these are just averages; the data is a bit skewed from some states having much higher registrant numbers than others ... along with the competitive desire and confidence from certain playing contingents.

Alex,
"You ain't seen nothin' yet".
Log onto PDGA.com and prepare for your mind to be bombarded with seemingly useless stats.
Mark was just revealing where the biggest baggers (sand baggers, that is) are located - a common practice of MANY golfers.

Pools were posted tonight...
Looks like they were setup in alphabetical order instead of by rating... Good Luck to everyone...

it still looks like the division of the pools was ratial motivated. Maybe the best players just come earlier in the alphabet. I'm in the same pool as Nicole. I'm looking forward to our first round together.

Kendra, you are the only person who I know in my pool- H doesn't normally stand for Loosers but it awfully seems like that looking at the divisions in it..
I guess we will take Mikey with us if you want Ken.

You are right... It is still by rating. In the Advanced B pool the highest rating is 941- it must have been a cut off point.

So who's driving? I probably won't have my truck down there since we have a week long trip prior to the tourney. Looks like G should be on one course each round :-)

I'm in the same pool as Keith some how. I do see about 4 or 5 players with a higher rating than Keith in this pool though.

What's the action Kemner? Stevie Spence has a couple of bucks too I'd bet.
C'mon Mike, you played with me last weekend , you know what I've got! I'll do $20 a player on the best 4-round score with those people playing the same courses...
Who is driving from your guy's group Brad? Kevin, Steve and I are all coming down EARLY on Friday morning - unless you guys have some floor space on Thursday night? Our reservations start on Friday night I believe. I'm not sure which one of us is driving, but I think it will be me or Steve (I don't trust Kevin's Focus!).

I'd need a substantial handicap here Keith. My putting has been even worse than usual.

Hey Guys I seen this posted on the pdga's message board and thought it might be a good idea. Not just to do at BG ams but to do at any and all of the tournaments that you play in.
Something one of the older local guys put me up on a good idea for the BG Am's. Before you leave town to come to Kentucky, go to the bank and cash in for a few $2 bills. The more the better. Then while you're in town for the weekend, start slipping them here and there wherever you stop. Gas stations, restaurants, liquor stores..... If enough of the disc golfers did this, the local businesses would raise a brow. After the first day, people would wonder where all these $2 bills are coming from. In the long run, it would prove what a force disc golf can have on a community from an economical view. I'm hearing all the time how much more exposure DG would get if there were more revenue circulated. We as the players know how much it means to us. But the folks in your town council who have never heard of such a sport may have something else planned for that unused park property. My town is starving for more courses, we just have to prove the benefits to people who aren't very interested. So, get a wad of $2 bills and bring them to Bowling Green. Spend them sparingly, so you can spread them around. Thats planting the seed. Soon, you should be able to use the news articles or commentary to your advantage. Let them know you're a disc golfer when you spend the $2 bills. If each registered player takes only 1 $2 bill and spends it somewhere down there, thats already $1,440 dollars you contribute back to their community, almost trackable since nobody really spends those things now days. Just food for thought! I think if my city knew that if they were to build a few more courses close enough to link a tournament like this together, and the results could bring in an extra $500,000+ EVERY YEAR, it would be done. I say $500,000 because I know when I come down, other than my tourney fee, I'll spend $100+ on hotels, food, gas, and other stuff. Take that times the minimum 720 people that come in town. You do the math.
