I think anyone that loses to me in Advanced should pay me $5 :)...per round.
I'm brining it Noodle Arm Harrod....don't even think about it Sally Putting Jones, Old man Ferrara...and I'm not worried about round 2 with Hamburger Dan being bloated. Yea, sick huh? Winning the 2008 Gulley Open Advanced Men Division... Novice Rated Lee Stephens.
And I'm not even worried about the quote pro players unquote. I've seen Blakely putting lately...rumor is the YouTube video was doctored. I can plug in a video game at the park and Adam Grant will be too preoccupied to golf. Sean 'I'm just 19' will be chasing all the local girls to even care. I'm thinking of sneaking a counter weight onto Al-man's Comet...that'll teach him to be soooo good with that thing. Craig 'down by' Law? I'm going to sneak some really depressing songs onto his iPod...you can't putt when there is a tear in your beer.
heh..I just hope to be remotely competitive.
See you guys at the warm-ups tomorrow.

Blakely and I did a bit of work today at Gulley. I'd like to get another work day in next weekend. Saturday works best for me. Let me know who can come. If you come bring a shovel, something to clip little branches, and whatever else you think might help.

I will go out there Wednesday Evening after work to do some more work weather permitting. Should be there about 400 PM.
Planned task Build a nice walkway of pilliars on hole 1 down in the low spot. I didn't have time to do it right today, but I will work on it and make it better Wednesday hopefully.
If I get that done, I will probably play a round.
Do you want a sneak peak at the long tee's? Come help out Wednesday afternoon and I will show you.
First Round Everybody will play the Original Layout. 2nd Round Pro's and Advanced Divisions will play Long tee's, and Intermediate, Rec, Advanced Masters, Adv and Int women will play short tee's.
Long tee's will be on 1, 2, 7, 10, 11, 14 Short Tee's will be on 13, 15
There will probably be two extra holes to acommodate the field and hopefully help keep things flowing.

Are short tees really necessary? I understand the addition of long tees, but it doesn't seem like 13 and 15 need to be shortened up for anyone. They are 2 of just a few holes that aren't an easy 3.
Besides that, everything looks great. I'm really looking forward to it.

I Didn't think they were necessary, but a consitent 3 group back up on 15 last year has me thinking it is necessary. There will be a distance and accuracy contest again. Some added money will be put towards it again. I will also have an amatuer division this year which will play out in plastic. And Dave will not be allowed to play in the Am Division. $1.00 A throw, or 6 throws for $5.00. There is also a chance the permanent tees for 3, and 4 will be both elongated a little also. Get your entries in, You can sign up online @ www.discgolftour.com/gulley/.

After playing the CC this past Saturday. There is a need to shorten the tees on 13 and 15 for the am divisions. Getting stacked up 5 groups deep doesn't do your game any good when you stiffen up while watching people chunk deep into the wilderness.

Funny..I was sitting and waiting while you Daniel Booned your way thru 15 ;) Just kidding...I took a 3 on 15 round 2..so I'm not talking about myself. Most of the novice players had extreme difficulty with #15 because they didn't throw over the top.

Alright, I understand that. Those were definitely both backup holes. So are the tees just going to be moved to the other side of the gaps basically?

Matt. I could not register for the Gulley Open (9:30 pm Wednesday night). I will try again from the office Thursday morning. Rod.
EDIT. Thursday afternoon. It worked from my office. My work machine must like disc golf more than my home machines.
