PRO DIVISIONS OFFERED:
PRO MEN - MASTER, GRAND MASTER, SR. GRANDMASTER
PRO WOMEN – MASTER
AM DIVISIONS OFFERED:
MEN– ADVANCED MASTER, ADVANCED GRAND MASTER
AM WOMEN – ADVANCED MASTER WOMEN ONLY
MUST HAVE 4 TO OPEN A DIVISION EXCEPT WOMEN
2 ROUNDS ON SATURDAY ,
EVERYONE WILL PLAY THE 1ST ROUND FROM THE SHORT TEES
AND ONE ROUND FROM THE LONG POSITION
PLAYERS MEETING IS AT 8:30, TEE OFF AT 9:00
COST IS $55 PRO AND $35.00 ADVANCED(ADVANCED PLAYERS WILL RECEIVE PLAYER PACKAGE)
YOU MUST BE A CURRENT PDGA MEMBER
FRIDAY AFTERNOON JUNE 13, THERE WILL BE A BALL GOLF VS DISC GOLF CHALLENGE WITH THE TOURNAMENT SPONSOR MARK GOETZ FROM EDGEWOOD ELECTRIC AND HIS FRIENDS VS TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR FRED SALAZ, BOB HERBERT, PETE CALDWELL AND OTHER TEAM OF DISC GOLFERS(TBD LATER). COME ROOT FOR THE DISC GOLFERS AND HAVE SOME FUN WATCHING THIS CHALLENGE. CHALLENGE WILL START BETWEEN 4 AND 5 PM. Kev, in the thread title, Idlewild is not spelled right -- i no longer have editing/moderator privileges so please fix it before the spelling gods go crazy

i believe Fred said on Monday that it will be two rounds from the Longs -- Fred, please clarify.

Since we are only playing 2 rounds both will be from the longs for everyone.
Tony, sorry for the late reply. The ball golf/disc golf challenge will be at Boone Links golf course in Boone County, off hwy 18 Florence.
I am looking for 2 masters age disc golfers to compete since I can't play.
So far I have: Bob Herbert, Pete Caldwell, Rob Johnston and Jerry Gotcher. Dave Greenwell might play but not sure yet.
Anyone with a good "old" arm may apply.

I am dedicating this years Masters at Idlewild to Scott Erke for his work on Idlewild in the early days and his committment to disc golf in general. We are having a little party at John Behymers(Bee) after the awards ceremony to cool down, reminisce and talk about the open players and no,I don't hate the open players.
All hole adoptee's are encouraged to attend.

The Disc Golf vs. Ball Golf challenge will take place tomorrow (Friday) at 4pm at Boone Links. everyone is encouraged to come out and watch. If anyone can video it that would be great too; maybe we can put it on Utube...

Fred you know I am Masters age so I wouldn't be breaking any rules. Is Pete playing tomorrow? Does it cost anything and how much?

The golf/disc golf challenge has been moved up to tee off at 3:30 this afternoon. Players please show up no later than 3:15. Dave we will need you. It looks like we will be one short so if anyone wants to play show up and we will draw straws(do they still do that) or flip discs. You must be able to throw over 400 feet.

Fred is walking, but not ready yet to put the torque of a full golf drive on his foot. So far it is me, Jerry Gotcher, Bob & Pete.
i think we need 6. teams are TBD

As you can guess - the ball golf/disc golf event was rained out. Rescheduled for September with the KY States Doubles. Disc golfers were ready to play - ball golfers wimped out.
