Final CCS of 2011 at Lincoln Ridge November 5th

CCS Finale at Lincoln Ridge this Saturday November 5. We will play 24 holes the first round and 18 the second.

There is a change this year in the Series Awards Ceremony. In years past
many people have stated it's too long of a day to attend the Series
Awards afterwards at a restaurant, along with other reasons. Thus, the
Awards for the 2011 CCS will be awarded at the first Course Challenge of
the New Year 2012. This way all the people who win will have a larger
gallery and won't have to wait around after the tourney for the
tourney/CCS staff to get everything done.

Saturday July 9th at 11 am we will be conducting the ribbon cutting of the new 9 hole course at Harmon Park located in down town Lebanon. This will be a two Tee layout with 2 or more basket locations per hole. Second Tee and basket locations will be finished later this year. This was all possible and thanks to Boy Scout John Ensman and his Father Jeff who contacted Lebanon Administration for projects to work on, and when they saw Disc Golf on the list they quickly jumped at the opportunity. We where then contacted to help with design and planning of the course. Through many challenges we where able to come up with what I think is a great course for an otherwise non-utilized piece of property. We hope you all will find this course to be challenging for all levels of experience.

Saturday May 7th is the last Great American Clean Up day for Cincinnati Parks.
Every year we show our support and help out in our City Parks and because of our support in the past we receive the same from the City for our courses. We have had anywhere from 4 to 14 people in past events and I would love to see a record number of volunteers for this years clean up.
Date: Saturday May 7th
Time: 9 am till 1pm.
Location: Rapid Run Park
Directions: Rapid Run
Due to an over booking of volunteers for Burnet we have been asked to help at Rapid Run, keep in mind that Cincinnati Parks have allowed us to run CCS events at this park in the past and this is a great opportunity to return a favor.
Please contact Adam Jones @ 513-255-7275 if you plan on attending
Need a little incentive to make the sacrifice and support our parks?
How about Free Reds tickets for volunteers? Click here

On a wonderfully windy day in March, 54 hardened disc golfers converged at Harbin Park to test their skills against mother nature's gusty personality. All enjoyed the traditional layout of the modified 18 holes that consisted of removing holes 14 through 17 and adding the 4 infamous letter holes. After two rounds of kite flying fun those that managed the windy conditions made it to the top to claim their prize (results here). Pete Caldwell won the Open division with a 4 stroke margin, while Jeff Eades took it in Masters. JP Elam narrowly won Advanced with a 1 stroke lead while Mitch McKelvey won Adv. Masters and Ben Kahut won Rec. Next CCS event is scheduled for April 16th at AJ Jolly in Alexandria which has always shown to be a large turnout event. Thanks go out to all our competitors and our gracious TD's and assistants that make this series worth while and entertaining. Hope to see you all at the next challenge.
