Come celebrate the 100th anniversary of our nation's first municipal urban reforestation project, Cincinnati's own Mt. Airy Forest! Once abandoned farmland, Cincinnati Park's reforested over 1400 acres of land and leveraged depression era programs such as the WPA and CCC to build the park we know today. Mt. Airy Forest has hosted 22 consecutive PDGA events including the 1998 PDGA Worlds Championship whose rounds were used to develop the PDGA round rating system. it seems only fitting that the course that played a part in the creation of the PDGA rating system participate in the evolution of the rating system by hosting a first ever Global Tournament Event. Mt. Airy Forest course will undergo a renovation prior to the big event inclusive of new powder coated red Mach 3 baskets, new benches and hopefully new tee pads and signage. Please consider helping us with all these renovations in any way possible, and please take a few moments to thank our Parks for all that they do for us and our community.
